Katheryn Russ is Professor and Chair of Economics at UC Davis, with expertise in open-economy macroeconomics and international trade policy. She began her tenure as Chair of the Davis Division of the Academic Senate in fall 2024.

Russ is a faculty research associate in the National Bureau of Economic Research International Trade and Investment Group, a member of the Econofact network, Vice President of the International Banking and Finance Association, and Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. She served as Senior Economist for International Trade and Finance for the White House Council of Economic Advisors 2015-16 and Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Review of World Economics 2021-22.
